Other: This rare Wyler Heavy Duty 660 Feet Diver is not your typical vintage dive watch - For starters, check out the silver sunburst dial with unique art-deco numerals and raised black outer minute track with lumed hashmarks every 5 minutes. Speaking of lume, the original luminous hands have aged gracefully to a beautiful shade of yellow. The 35mm steel case with sleek rotating diver bezel and vintage mesh bracelet come together to form an overall sporty look that wears incredibly well on the wrist. This particular reference is powered by a Swiss manual-winding movement with patented Wyler Incaflex shock protection. Why is that important? In 1956, Wyler dropped several watches equipped with Incaflex shock protection from the top of the Eiffel Tower in France. The watches were still working perfectly immediately after the fall and the famous media stunt proved to be a huge success in strengthening the brand's reputation. In order to capture the American market, Wyler successfully repeated the publicity stunt by dropping several watches from the top of the Seattle Space Needle in 1962. These watches were also still in tact and running perfectly after the 600-foot fall!
