Other: When the 16610LV was released in 2003 to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Rolex Submariner, the Rolex collecting community was somewhat divided. It was a different time for new Rolex watches back then with much less hype surrounding the hobby, but it's still difficult to imagine that this 2008-09 LV Submariner sat in the Rolex display case until it was sold in June of 2010 according to its accompanied warranty card. Ah, the good old days! After being discontinued in 2010, Rolex introduced the "Hulk" Submariner ref. 116610LV with new green dial and green ceramic bezel insert. That model would be discontinued in 2020 in favor of the all-new 41mm Submariner with black dial and green ceramic bezel insert (seen as a nod to the classic "Kermit" available for sale here). Needless to say, the 16610LV has become highly collectible and sought after. Nicknamed "Kermit" for its cool green bezel insert, the 16610LV also featured a slightly different dial and hands than those of a standard 16610LN. Its larger "maxi" lume plots and larger hands improved overall legibility. This particular example remains unpolished and in strong condition overall. We love the green hue of the original aluminum bezel insert!
