Condition: Top collector-grade condition overall with only the slightest signs of wear consistent with age and very light use; unpolished 18K gold case with the original finishes throughout; crisp caseback remains clearly legible; fantastic original dial with all lume plots in tact and aged to an attractive deep yellow/orange hue; excellent matching original hands with all luminous material in tact; clean domed acrylic crystal; nice original strap/buckle
Other: This ultra-rare 1950s Jaeger-LeCoultre Memovox "Jumbo" makes me feel like Don Draper from Mad Men every time I strap it to my wrist (he wears a JLC Memovox in Season 1). This stunning example is museum-grade quality and available for purchase from my personal collection. I discovered the watch over 5 years ago locally with its original strap and buckle still attached and I have yet to see a better example in this configuration come up for sale publicly since then. The jumbo 37mm solid 18K yellow gold case remains sharp and unpolished with light wear. The dial is absolutely gorgeous. The original hands match perfectly. Even the domed acrylic crystal is original and remains clean. If you collect only the best of the best, this watch fits within that description.
