Other: If you're looking for a vintage chronograph watch reminiscent of iconic Heuer designs without spending a fortune, this extremely rare Desotos chronograph is a solid value play at about 1/3 of the price of a comparable Heuer. In fact, the case is essentially identical to the Heuer Camaro that we all know. It utilizes the same high-grade Valjoux 72 movement that Heuer used in most of their manual-wound, three-register chronographs. And it's hard to beat the desirable "panda" dial with contrasting black sub-registers and inner tachymeter scale for racing. The silver sunburst dial really comes to life in the sun, as does the desirable golden yellow patina to the luminous elements. Just like the original Heuer Camaro, this case wears incredibly well on the wrist with fantastic proportions clocking in at about 37mm in diameter. Speaking of the case, it is completely unpolished and razor sharp! Once these cases are polished, it's all over... You definitely don't want to lose the sharp edges and defined sunburst finish on the top of the case. This collector-grade example comes mounted on a comfortable 19mm handmade tan calfskin strap.
