Condition: Very nice original condition overall with honest wear consistent with age and use; solid stainless steel case is thick and sharp and retains its original edges and bevels; original glossy black dial has aged to an incredible tropical brown hue with matching yellow Tritium patina on the markers; original Tritium handset with matching yellow patina; original orange chronograph sweeping-seconds hand has lightly faded over time; original dive bezel has faded beautifully (the black section has traces of brown hues); original bezel is very tight and difficult to rotate (Bulova Deep Sea Chronograph models feature a unique domed crystal with a ledge that retains the bezel and given the bezel's tightness, rotating it is not recommended); a few minor toolmarks on the caseback

Other: The Deep Sea Chronograph "B" is our favorite execution of all the 666 Feet Devil Diver lineup. This is a very early example that dates back to 1970 (most of these were manufactured in 1971 or 1973). It's also quite rare to see a glossy black dial turn tropical brown over time, but when it does, it looks absolutely incredible (especially out in the sun). Just take a look at our wrist shots for proof! The dial is a different shade of brown in every lighting condition. It's no wonder why tropical dials are so hot right now and commanding huge premiums in the market... The "Coke" dive bezel exhibits the perfect amount of fade for summer. We imagine that this tool watch was worn out in the sun quite a bit and maybe even on salt water dives to create such a beautiful combination of colors. If you're looking for an honest and original example with a tropical brown dial, this is it.
