SOLD

Brand: Bulova

Movement: Bulova cal. 14 EFAD (Buren/Heuer cal. 12 Chrono-Matic) self-winding automatic chronograph movement (17 jewels) with date display at 6 o'clock; 21,600 BPH; Swiss Made; N2 code = 1972

Features: Stunning original exotic multi-colored dial with metallic blue center; original handset with original orange chronograph sweeping-seconds hand; black internal tachymeter bezel for timing the average speed of a moving object (i.e. during racing applications); two-register Chrono-Matic self-winding movement (same as Heuer cal. 12) with 12-hour recording capability; date window at 6 o'clock; jumbo stainless steel case with awesome domed acrylic crystal

Condition: Very nice original condition overall with honest wear consistent with age and use; large solid stainless steel case is thick and sharp; crisp caseback with all engravings clearly visible; attractive original exotic dial with vibrant colors and printing throughout; original hands with all luminous material present and in tact; a few minor superficial scratches on the domed acrylic crystal

Other: Collectors who prefer larger watches are often forced to wear modern - Such is not the case with this super cool Bulova, which measures in right around 44mm (not including the crown). Despite its large size, it wears extremely well on the wrist. Beating inside the Chronograph "F" is Bulova's cal. 14 EFAD self-winding automatic chronograph movement. If you don't recognize the movement, look again - It is the same as the historic caliber 12 developed by Hamilton-Buren, Heuer and Breitling. Additionally, the watch features an incredible multi-colored exotic dial surrounded by a black internal tachymeter bezel (the metallic blue center looks amazing out in the sun). This particular example came from the original owner's estate exactly how we like to find our watches: honest and original.
