Condition: Fantastic original condition overall with only minor honest wear consistent with age and very light use; unpolished 14K gold case with sharp bezel and crisp hallmarks; crisp caseback remains clearly legible; excellent original blue "vignette" dial has some very light crazing in the glossy surface (barely visible and likely due to how the world maps were originally applied); clean original domed acrylic crystal with unique inner tension ring showing time zone calculations in blue; excellent original non-luminous; NOS 18mm grey genuine crocodile strap

Other: If you fancy wearing a crazy vintage watch that nobody else has, this wild Lucien Piccard World Time Automatique may be the perfect unicorn piece. You probably didn't even know that this model existed... The glossy blue "vignette" dial reminds us of that of a vintage Rolex Day-Date except Lucien Piccard decided to apply world maps to the dial to create a wristwatch for travelers. The unique dial is divided into 12 zones and the wearer can quickly do calculations from one zone to another by using the blue references from the tension ring crystal. The details on this watch are absolutely mind-blowing! The blue "cabochon" crown, the unique non-luminous hands, and of course the multi-colored world maps applied to the dial. Even crazier, this example comes in a SOLID 14K yellow gold case of a traditional shape. Image how much money this watch would be worth if it said "Patek Philippe" on the dial... We seriously doubt you'll ever find another example in this condition and all original... For peace of mind, the micro-rotor automatic movement was completely overhauled by our watchmaker with a fresh mainspring and winding stem installed at the time of service.
