From the oversized 40mm stainless steel case with anodized blue inset bezel to the streamlined Bulova bracelet, its innovative aesthetic screams early '70s when brands weren't afraid to push the boundaries of traditional design. The beautiful metallic silver sunburst dial with matching blue accents is as eye-catching as it is unique with the perfect compliment of color coming from a distinct handset. An original 1972 advertisement introducing the new Bulova Jet Star lineup says it all:
"We have the new BULOVA JET STAR. A watch designed for a man when he's ready to face the world. The Bulova Jet Star. It's rugged. It has all the features a man needs in today's world. Automatic 17 jewel movements. Calendars with instant change day and date feature. Colored dials. Bold sculptured cases. Stalwart bands and manly leather straps.
