Other: The Rolex market is on absolute fire right now, but this gorgeous 36mm Datejust is proof that you can still get a great vintage Rolex watch at a relatively affordable price point. In simple terms, it's difficult to imagine a more reliable watch coming from any other brand (or a better place to park your cash for that matter). This reference 16220 is particularly striking and versatile with its 36mm stainless steel case, sharp engine-turned bezel, and silver sunburst dial that has developed a unique golden patina. The watch for sale here was presented to Dale Ballard on January 17, 1991 for his 25 years of loyal service to IBM (Quarter Century Club) as denoted on the caseback. These IBM award watches were ordered and delivered through retailer Michael C. Fina. This example comes complete with its original inner and outer Rolex boxes, paperwork, booklets, and both hang-tags. The outer Rolex box even confirms delivery to Dale Ballard. Also included with the watch is a service receipt from December 15, 2017 when the movement was overhauled with a new mainspring, auto-winding axel, case tube, gaskets and spring bars installed at the time of service. The original parts will be included with the watch.
