Other: It's no secret that we love vintage mechanical alarm watches and this rare 1960s Paul Portinoux Wrist Alarm is no exception. The silver sunburst dial with oversized art-deco Arabic numerals is absolutely beautiful (especially out in the sun). We love the squiggly red-arrow alarm hand and vintage period-correct strap. It has a Mad Men look to it that can be dressed up or down. While the LeCoultre Memovox and Vulcain Cricket get all the praise, other super cool and affordable alarms like this fly quietly under the radar. It's amazing that you can still get a solid steel mechanical alarm from the 1960s in superb original condition for around $500.
