Other: This Benrus Dial-O-Rama is the definition of unique (and cool). It also happens to be one of the most recognizable direct-read watches of all time. Introduced in 1957, it was among the first mechanical-digital watches to re-appear nearly 30 years after the launch of the earliest jump-hour models (i.e. the AS cal. 340). With competition mainly from Elgin in the late 1950s, Benrus was far more reliable than other direct-readers. The lower minute disc rotates progressively as time passes by and the embossed silver star rotates constantly so long as the watch is wound. When the minute disc reaches "0" on the display, the upper hour disc "jumps" forward to advance. This "jumping" action occurs once every 60 minutes of course.
