Condition: Nearly new old stock (NOS) original condition overall with only the lightest signs of "shelf" wear from storage and handling; case is razor sharp and completely unpolished with all of the original finishes tact; crisp stainless steel caseback is clearly legible and in mint condition; stunning original cream-colored dial with direct-read and jump-hour displays

Other: This Benrus Dial-O-Rama is the definition of unique (and cool). It also happens to be one of the most recognizable direct-read watches of all time. Introduced in 1957, it was among the first mechanical-digital watches to re-appear nearly 30 years after the launch of the earliest jump-hour models (i.e. the AS cal. 340). With competition mainly from Elgin in the late 1950s, Benrus was far more reliable than other direct-readers. The lower minute disc rotates progressively as time passes by and the embossed silver star rotates constantly so long as the watch is wound. When the minute disc reaches "0" on the display, the upper hour disc "jumps" forward to advance. This "jumping" action occurs once every 60 minutes of course. The eye-catching cream dial with beautiful embossed silver star is sure to be a topic of conversation. Can you imagine running into anyone else with this watch? We think not. Pair it with your favorite tweed jacket for a retro-vintage look!
