Features: Stunning original two-tone dial with applied indices (brushed silver center and black outer track with white minute hash marks); original domed acrylic crystal with brushed silver tension ring and luminous plots at 3, 6, 9, and 12 o'clock; original handset; two-tone day-date display at 3 o'clock; unique quick-set date feature by pushing in the crown towards the case; cool case shape (solid stainless steel)

Condition: Mint original condition overall with only the slightest signs of wear from storage and handling; solid stainless steel case is razor sharp and completely unpolished with a few very minor superficial scratches; crisp caseback with all printing defined and clearly visible; superb original two-tone dial; original handset with all luminous material in tact and matching; original domed acrylic crystal with internal tension ring and all lume plots present and in tact

Other: This rare Elgin was acquired directly from a former employee of the Elgin Watch Company and appears to be nearly new old stock (NOS) and unworn. How about that dial? The combination of black and silver with a white date wheel is absolutely incredible and the watch wears extremely well on the wrist with its unique "square" case. In fact, this case reminds us very much of the popular Heuer Camaro... A vintage Italian lizard strap pulls everything together to form a well-balanced aesthetic. It doesn't get much cooler than this for only $560!
